Homtiq.com ("Homtiq", "we", "us") is an online classifieds website for houses, plots, flats, farmland and commercial property in Pakistan, operated by Aurum Traders (owner: Muhammad Ateeq), Rawalpindi, Pakistan. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using the site you accept this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account details: your email address, and your name and email if you sign in with Google. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
Ad details: title, description, price, location, property type, WhatsApp number, optional overseas phone number and the photos you upload.
Payment details: boost and extra-ad payments are made by transfer to our EasyPaisa account. We see the receipt and the Ad ID you send us on WhatsApp. We do not collect or store card numbers or wallet PINs.
Technical data: IP address, browser, device type, pages visited and cookies, collected automatically.
Messages: anything you send us by email or WhatsApp.
2. Information that becomes public
Everything you put in an ad, including your phone and WhatsApp numbers and photos, is shown publicly so buyers can contact you. Anyone, including automated tools, can copy public information. Do not include your CNIC, bank details or other private documents in an ad or photo.
3. How we use information
To run your account and display your ads; to review ads for fraud, duplicates and explicit content; to process boosts and extra-ad credits; to answer your messages; to measure and improve the site; to show advertising; and to meet legal obligations.
4. Cookies, advertising and analytics
We use cookies and similar technology to keep you signed in and to understand site usage. We may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalised ads at adssettings.google.com and can block cookies in your browser settings. If we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, Meta may set cookies to measure the results of our ads. Blocking cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, database, file storage and authentication, for example Cloudflare and Supabase), with advertising partners as described above, and with authorities when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
6. Storage, transfers and security
Our providers may store data on servers outside Pakistan. We use access controls, encrypted connections and review procedures to protect data, but no online service can be completely secure.
7. How long we keep information
Ads are removed from public view when they expire or are deleted. We may keep account, ad and payment records for a reasonable period afterwards for fraud prevention, accounting and legal reasons. After that they are deleted or anonymised.
8. Your choices
You can edit or delete your ads from your account within the limits in our Terms of Use. You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to close your account, by writing to contact@homtiq.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
9. Children
Homtiq is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Links to other sites
Ads, sponsor banners and WhatsApp links may lead to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the site means you accept the update.
